Save your change position
Read /v1/changes?since=0. Save next_since after processing each batch. If more is true, keep reading before waiting for your next sync.
Handle each event
Add new records, replace updated ones, and remove expired or excluded ones from your active list. Keep source IDs stable so you do not create copies.
Retry safely
Only move your saved change position after a batch is fully processed. Replaying a batch should update existing IDs rather than insert duplicates.
